The Olympic Games is the most acclaimed multi-sport games held once in every four years. The upcoming Olympic Games is going to be held from 27 July to 12 August 2012 at London, United Kingdom while the competition dates of table tennis is from 28 July to 8 August 2012.

There is “Singles”event for both men and women. Only the first 28 players (men & women) on the world ranking list are automatically qualified for the “Singles” event. The rest of players have to compete in their respective continental qualifying tournaments in order to secure entry to the Games.

It is expected that this event will feature top Asian players and the competition will feature top Asian players and the competition will be very keen.

奧運會乃四年一次的體壇盛事，2012倫敦奧運將2012年7月27日至8月12日於英國倫敦舉行。在乒乓球項目方面，除了在世界排名榜內位列首28名之男子及女子球員可直接獲得參加2012倫敦奧運的單打項目資格外，其他球員則需參加所屬各大洲的外圍賽，以爭取參賽的資格。屆時，各亞洲頂級球手將會來港參賽，為爭奪奧運入場券而進行連番激戰。
